and services which consistently meet or exceed our customer
requirements, on time and at the lowest cost.
This applies to all areas, activities and people of Cummins Turbo Technologies
and it is their responsibility to provide business objectives
that support the policy including cost, quality, delivery,
safety, regulatory and continuous improvement requirements.
Quality Standards
On our journey of continuous improvement, all Cummins Turbo Technologies plants worldwide have either achieved or are working towards been accredited to ISO/TS16949:2002, which
replaces QS9000 as the Specification for
Automotive Quality Systems.
Our approval to ISO/TS16949: 2002 demonstrates
the commitment of the company to its customers and its determination
to remain leader in an increasingly competitive turbocharger
market.
The Aftermarket Division is approved to ISO9001:2000
to ensure that our support to the Aftermarket continues
to excel.
Six Sigma
A key initiative for improving our business processes is
the Cummins Six Sigma Program. It complements the requirements
of TS16949 and provides a structure to improve processes
that are not optimised. The outcome is lower costs and improved
quality sustainable through the disciplines that
Six Sigma brings.
