Our unique Holset VGTTM with its patented sliding nozzle turbine
is proven over millions of km in tough Euro
2 and Euro 3 applications. The world's first
Variable Geometry turbocharger to operate
successfully in the demanding European marketplace,
it will provide your engine with uncompromised
levels of durability, enhanced driveability
and a unique braking capability.
Cummins Turbo Technologies was the first turbocharger producer to offer cast titanium impeller technology to our customers. In production since 1997, the Holset cast
titanium impeller enables us to offer enhance levels of mechanical
strength without compromising our sophisticated blade geometry. A level
of aerodynamic design refinement unique to Cummins Turbo Technologies.
In partnership with one of our major customers, Cummins Turbo Technologies has produced a
turbo machinery system solution that delivers maximum value for the
end user and demonstrates our capability to design and develop sub-systems
solutions to an exacting specification.
Cummins Turbo Technologies pioneered the introduction of the turbocompounding on production diesel
engines in partnership with Scania. The DTC11-01 was introduced in 1993.
Cummins Turbo Technologies was one of the first turbocharger companies
to offer electronic inputs from the turbocharger
to the engine ECU to ensure the extraction of
maximum product performance without jeopardising
durability or reliability. Electronic sensing
of turbocharger speed was originally developed
for the Holset VGTTM. Further development has enabled
Cummins Turbo Technologies to offer this capability in any Holset turbocharger using induction
probe technology. Further inputs that can be offered include compressor
inlet air temperature measurement and pre-turbine pressure measurement.
